There is a constant search for new plant types, which are then cultivated in the nursery garden. After all, the forest in Samboja shall be as wild and rich in species as primary forest. There are more than 750 species at the moment; many of are them serve as food for the orangutans and, when grown up, as climbing trees. But also plants with healing powers are grown in the nursery – often, the orangutans know about their effect and make use of them.&#13;
